However, as a result of landmark policy developments, technology advances, and the rise of consumerism in the healthcare industry, the health and wealth domains are rapidly converging. Banks, health plans, third party administrators, technology infrastructure providers, and other firms that have historically focused on their own traditional domains must now consider how they will respond to the demands of consumers and employers for a seamless healthcare experience - from saving and paying for care, to making informed decisions about treatment alternatives.
